Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) is a complete sustainability training program based on the international Gaia Education curriculum. It was offered for the first time in the United States in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2007-2008.

As an advanced training course, EDE empowers citizens and communities to take the lead on sustainability in all its aspects.

, with field trips and hands on projects at various sites, communities and ecovillages around the city and state for the last two days of each Dimension.
Each of the 4 dimensions was covered in a 10-day program consisting of five weekday evenings and two full-day weekends. The EDE training presented viable models for both urban and rural environments.
